BEAR HUNTER DRAGGING PERMIT FOR COUNTY FOREST ROADS
 
This permit is entered into by and between Marinette County, hereinafter referred to as "Owner", and the name listed on permit, hereinafter referred to as "Permittee", for the purpose of lightly dragging the surface of county forest roads to show animal tracks.

It is understood by the Owner and the Permittee this permit is subject to the following conditions:
  1. Permittee is allowed to drag the surface of the county forest road. 
  2. Permittee is allowed to use a home-made or modified farm implement no wider than 3’, which penetrates the ground a maximum of 2 inches.  Implements must have a drag chain attach behind to smooth ground. 
  3. Permittee is encouraged to stagger dragging on a day-to-day basis so as not to allow teeth to drag in the same grooves causing deeper penetrate.  Any larger, softball size or greater, rocks exposed to the surface must be removed from the road immediately. 
  4. Permit is nontransferable and may not be reproduced.
  5. If Owner reasonably determines this permit interferes with management objectives of Owner, this permit may be cancelled at any time by sixty (60) day written notice to Permittee.
  6. Authorized dragging shall be performed in a safe manner at a maximum of 10 mph. 
  7. Permittee acknowledges ownership of the above land by Owner and agrees no right or claim for possession or adverse use may be made against the lands of Owner at any time.
  8. Any modifications to this permit must be in writing.
  9. Only licensed Vehicles are allowed to pull drags. Unlicensed motor vehicles are not allowed on County lands. All terrain vehicles are allowed on designated ATV trails.
  10. Owner may terminate this permit upon default of any terms or conditions of this permit by Permittee in the event Permittee does not cure default within 10 days of written notice by Owner.
Permittee agrees to protect, indemnify, and save harmless Owner, its agents and employees, from and against all claims, demands, suits, liability and expense, by reason of loss or damage to any property or bodily injury to any person whatsoever, that may arise from Permittee's  maintenance or placement of objects on the described lands and Permittee shall defend Owner in any such action or claim.
