WINTER RECREATION TRAIL REPORT
UPDATED: FEBRUARY 12, 2019

MARINETTE COUNTY SNOWMOBILE, ATV/UTV TRAIL UPDATE AS OF 2/12/19
Happy to be able to say Marinette County Trails are OPEN! Spread the word!

There are 4 clubs that allow ATV/UTV winter use; Dun-Good, Pemenee, Near North and Iron Snow Shoe.

NEAR NORTH:
The Near North Trails were all groomed this past weekend. After the snowstorm the groomers will be out again and the trails will be in perfect to excellent condition. ATV’s and UTV’s allowed on trails. Watch for signs.

DUN-GOOD RIDERS: Trails are in excellent condition! We’re grooming trails everyday of the week. Great year for all the riders. Still a couple of wet spots on Spur Lake Road trail, but they aren’t bad. This is on the Spur Lake trail, where you turn off Spur Lake & head towards the Florence trail. The spring water is coming across the trail so it’s wet & slippery along there.

PEMENEE RIVER RIDERS:  Trails are open, groomed and are in excellent condition. Watch for logging in the area of Barlow Lake and Forest Rd 1003. Use caution in this area.

RANGER CITY RIDERS: (snowmobile only) - Our trails are in excellent condition. Our whole trail system will be groomed for the weekend. Come ride as the trail conditions are excellent thought Marinette County! Remember RCR clubhouse parking lot is a designated park and ride. As always please enjoy and ride safe.

PLEASE NOTE LOGGING OPERATIONS: Our north end of the East Trail between Marek Road and Forest Road 404 is currently being logged. The trail does have snow cover and rideable through the small section of logging

IRON SNOW SHOE: (snowmobile & atv/utv trails)
Trail Conditions: Excellent.
Snow Cover: 20 inches plus.
Area Report: We had another awesome weekend of riding on the Iron Snowshoe Trails. I am not sure if Mother Nature is blessing us or punishing us, but BRING IT ON!! After receiving 15+ inches of snow last week, we added another 3 inches last night, and looking at 9 to 12 tomorrow! More blessings coming the end of this week also! Our groomers have been out non-stop to keep up with all this snow. Trails are in very good condition today. Our groomers will be out every day/night after this next snow (Tuesday). Stop by the Crooked Lake Fish-O-Rama this weekend. We would love to see you all. Happy…Happy…Happy Trails!!!

KUMALONG Sno-Riders: All Kumalong trails are open and being groomed. Trials are in very good condition.

RIVER ROAD RIDERS:  River Road Riders All River Road Riders trails are open. Trails are in very good condition. 3″ of snow Sunday night. 6″ last night and still snowing! Grooming operations are ongoing. Atv’s utv’s are not allowed on RRR trail system.

Remember, that most of the Marinette County ATV-UTV trails are open year ’round, but there are exceptions!

Note:  Kumalong (Coleman), River Road Riders (Marinette) and Ranger City Riders (Amberg) do NOT allow atv’s & utv’s on their trail systems at any time.  Ride legal! Know before you go so we do not lose trail access. The new 2019 snowmobile-atv-utv map is now available from the clubs, business sponsors and Marinette County Tourism. Pick up a copy or contact a local club or Marinette County Tourism  to obtain a map. It’s a year ’round map that clearly shows where the trails are and what type of trail it is and if atv’s/utv’s are allowed.
