Marinette County manages eleven larger, more developed parks and six of them have well-kept, beautifully wooded campgrounds. You can hike, picnic, go fishing, whitewater rafting, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Start your Marinette County parks exploration by reviewing the park descriptions below.

Campground Onsite Self-Registration: At all campgrounds, campers will self-register by filling out an envelope at the Camper Registration Sign located in the campground. Campers will receive two vehicle entrance permits with each paid night of camping.
Note 3:
Vehicle Entrance Fees For Campers: Campers receive two day use stickers for use on two vehicles for each night they are registered to camp.
Vehicle Entrance Fees For Non-Campers: All vehicles require a day use entrance sticker. The cost is $3.00 per vehicle per day. A Day Use sticker can be used at all Marinette County Parks the day it's purchased. Stickers are to be purchased at the pay station when entering a park. A $12.00 (per vehicle) Marinette County Parks Annual Vehicle Sticker may be purchased at the Parks Office in the courthouse or various businesses in the County, which is valid at all Marinette County Parks for that year.
No change is available at the parks, so please bring the correct amounts with you!

Depending on the weather, anytime after Oct. 1st the water systems (including the shower building and water tower/dump stations) may have to be shut down for the season- please call the Parks Office before you come!
Twin Bridges Park
(90 Acres) Provides camping with electricity on each site, showers/flush toliets, picnicking, boating, swimming, fishing, playground and a scenic rock outcrop overlook of High Falls Flowage. 62-site campground on the Peshtigo River. Opens the day before fishing season, closes November 1st. Important note: Depending on the weather, anytime after Oct. 1st the water system (including the shower building and water tower/dump station) may have to be shut down for the season- please call the Parks Office before you come!
Location & Directions
Western Marinette County on the High Falls Flowage of the Peshtigo River in the Town of Stephenson. 15 miles northwest of Crivitz.
Follow County Hwy X west 11 miles from US Hwy 141 at Middle Inlet, then north ½ mile on Parkway Road to park entrance.

Morgan Park
(160 Acres) Provides a campground with electricity for each site, swimming and beach on Timm's Lake, a lodge, lake and stream fishing, boat landing, playground, rock outcroppings and an overlook. 32-site campground near Timm's Lake. A small youth group campsite is available by reservation. Opens May 1, closes after deer season.

Northeastern Marinette County on Timm's Lake in the Town of Niagara.
From US-141, turn east on County R (Kremlin Road) on the north edge of Pembine, follow County R 6 miles, then north 1 mile on Timm's Lake Road.

Goodman Park
(240 Acres) This park offers trout fishing, a bridge over Strong Falls on the upper Peshtigo River, huge red pines, two lodges for day use rental, hiking-skiing trail, camping, and lovely scenery. 15-site rustic(no electricity) campground on the Peshtigo River. Water is available at a hand pump. A small group campsite is available by reservation. Opens May 1, closes after deer season.

Northwestern Marinette County on the Peshtigo River, Town of Silver Cliff.
Go west from US-141 at Wausaukee on County Highway C for 20 miles, then north 9 miles on Parkway Road (County I), then northwest 2 miles on Goodman Park Road.

Veteran's Memorial Park
(320 Acres) 3 Thunder River waterfalls can be viewed at the scenic day use picnic area. Offers a bridge over the upper waterfall, a pool at the bottom of the falls, trout fishing, camping, trout fishing, and a large day use area. 15-site rustic(no electricity) campground. Water is avilable at a hand pump. Opens May 1, closes after deer season.

Western Marinette County on the Thunder River in the Town of Stephenson. Follow County Highway W west of Crivitz for 12 miles to Parkway Road (County I), then north 3 miles.

Twelve Foot Falls Park
(160 Acres) Features red pine plantations, two waterfalls, camping, trout fishing and scenery. 12-site rustic(no electricity) campground along the north branch of the Pike River. 5 tent sites are located south of picnic area and 7 tent/small trailer sites at top of hill near park entrance. Water is available at a hand pump. Opens April 15, closes after deer season.
Location & Directions
Northern Marinette County on the Pike River in the Town of Dunbar.
Follow US-8 six miles west of US-141; turn south on Lily Lake Road 2 miles, then west on Twin Lake Road ½ mile, then south on Twelve Foot Falls Road.

McClintock Park
(320 Acres) This park has four bridges over rapids on the upper Peshtigo River, trout fishing, many great picnic spots, camping, and an interesting hardwood-hemlock timber stand. The 10-site rustic(no electricity) campground is located right along the Peshtigo River. Park has two entrances the day use picnic area is located about 1/2 mile north of the campground. Campground is now providing direct ATV trail access. Water is available at a hand pump. Opens May 1, closes November 1.

From US-141 at Wausaukee go west on County Hwy C for 20 miles, then north 5 miles on Parkway Road (County I). Located 4 miles south of Goodman Park.

Thunder Mountain Overlook
(160 Acres) provides a view of Western Marinette County including High Falls Flowage. Follow County Highway W west from Crivitz for 14 miles to Cauldron Falls Road, then north 2 and a half miles. Opens May 1, closes after deer season. Restroom and hiking trail. No other facilities.
Dave's Falls Park
(66 Acres) features a spectacular waterfall, picnic area with playground, trout fishing, and a bridge over the roaring Pike River. The park is just off Hwy 141, one mile south of Amberg. The entrance sign is right on the highway.
Menominee River Park
(65 Acres) provides a beautiful view of the Menominee River, a picnic area that includes a small open-sided shelter, fishing, and a boat landing. The park is located 18 miles north of Marinette on Hwy 180. From the junction of Cty X and Hwy 180, go 1/2 mile east to the park.
Dolan Lake Park
(60 Acres) provides a swimming beach, lake fishing, boat landing, and small picnic area. The park is located west of Amberg. Take Benson Lake Road out of Amberg west about five miles, then turn right on Dolan Lake Road.
Lake Noquebay Park
(12 Acres) provides a swimming beach, boat landing, large lodge available for day use rental, changehouse with flush toilets for swimmers, lake fishing, and picnic facilities. The park is located east of Crivitz. Take GG out of Crivitz east about three miles, then turn left on Noquebay Road. |
