Waterfalls Tour

Prepare for a full day tour to see these beautiful sights.
All are within walking distance from parking areas.


Waterfalls

Directions & Descriptions

Veteran's Falls

Veteran's Memorial Park is on the Thunder River on Parkway Road. Steep slopes lead to a wooden bridge and the Falls. Camping and picnicking are allowed in the Park.

While in this area, stop to see the High Falls Dam, which creates 1,700 acres of the lake, beautiful High Falls Flowage. Twin Bridge Park offers camping, picnicking and swimming.

McClintock Falls

Take Parkway Road north to McClintock Park. This Falls is a series of rapids with bridges available for exceptional viewing.

Strong Falls

Continue north on Parkway to the Goodman Park road. These Falls on the Peshtigo River are beautiful! They are located in Marinette County Park with picnic areas, campsites and a playground. It's a great place for pictures with the large rock backgrounds and attractive Falls.

Twelve Foot Falls

Take Lily Lake Road south of of Highway 8, and follow the signs to Twelve Foot Falls; or, from Highway 141 west on Smeester School Road, west on Trout Haven Road to Twelve Foot Falls Road. This is a County Park with camping and picnic areas. It's on the Pike River - great for its trout fishing and natural beauty.

Eight Foot Falls

A five-minute walk through the camping area of Twelve Foot Falls takes you to Eight Foot Falls.

Eighteen Foot Falls

Only about one mile from Twelve Foot Falls, go north from the Park to the second sand covered road on the right. Drive or walk the half-mile to the parking area. Then follow the path about three blocks to the beautiful Pike River and the awesome Eighteen Foot Falls.

Long Slide Falls

Take Morgan Park east of Highway 141 and follow the signs to the Falls. A good parking area is provided. It's about a one-quarter-mile hike on a nice path to the Falls. The Falls drop about 50 feet through the rocks. It's a magnificent scene!

From Long Slide Falls, you may want to travel a couple of miles east to Morgan Park for camping, swimming and picnicking.

Smalley Falls

These Falls are located upstream from Long Slide Falls. It's about a half-mile hike from the bigger Long Slide Falls.

Bull Falls

At Amberg, take Highway K east of Highway 141about a half-mile to the power line right-of-way. Then walk a couple of blocks north under the lines. A path takes you to the rapids on the Pike River.

Dave's Falls

Dave's Falls are located in a beautiful County Park on the Pike River, just south of Amberg on Highway 141. In addition to the scenic Falls and rock formations, this Park offers a playground and restroom facilities.

Pier's Gorge

These Falls are located on the Menomonee River. Cross the bridge into Michigan on Highway 8 and watch for the signs. Take a left at the Piers Gorge sign to the end of the road. It's about a half-mile hike to the rapids.

Pemene Falls

Take County Highway Z into Michigan. Turn left on the first road, then at the third sand covered road past the boat landing, take a left to the parking area. It's just a short walk to the Falls.
