SECURE PAYMENT DROP BOX:
Marinette County Treasurer’s office is able to offer another option for tax payments, as they have purchased a Secure Payment Drop Box. The drop box is located on the east side of the building outside the Courthouse Annex, which is near the Veteran’s Memorial Fountain. Payment of taxes can be placed in the drop box at the tax payer’s convenience. In addition to the drop box being secure it is under 24/7 camera surveillance.

GENERAL TAX BILL INFORMATION:
Tax bills are mailed to property owners each year in early to mid December.  First installment payments, or payments in full are due by January 31st each year, and second installment payments are due by July 31st each year.

If you choose to pay your taxes in installments, then you must pay each installment timely or the TOTAL amount of your remaining unpaid taxes, special assessments, special charges and special taxes (if any) will be delinquent and will be subject to interest of 1% per month from February 1st until paid.  (An example of this would be....If you make your first installment payment on February 15th, your tax bill is delinquent and will accrue 1% interest per month until paid....so if you wait until July 31st to pay the second installment, you will find 7% interest will also be due.)

Marinette County accepts postmarks as timely payments. (First installment payments postmarked on January 31st are timely, as are second installment payments postmarked on July 31st.)

Marinette County Treasurer's office collects first installment real estate taxes and personal property taxes for 16 of their 25 municipalities.  Nine (9) of the municipalities have their Local Municipal Treasurer collect taxes, so please pay your taxes to the proper treasurer as identified on the front of your tax bill.  A complete list of municipalities, that Marinette County Treasurers office collects for, can be found on our "Services" tab.

Please provide a copy of your tax bill or a payment stub with your payment.

If you are requesting a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

If making payment by check, your tax receipt is not valid until the check has cleared all banks.
